Update 25.06.24 changes:
Changes:
– New story with Lady Akira. The event starts when you talk with her in Witton after renting and visiting the private beach of the island Amaranthe, when you had the first dialog with Lady Akira before entering the room through the door from outside, and you need the events of Trey about his girlfriend from a few updates ago. (The previous event of Trey starts with a sparkling note in the center of the sleeping chambers after you used the Fast Travel system when Grey joined the femaled adventurers, Kayelinth is in your party, you solved the mystery of Fürstenstein, you found Hellhound in Old Ashton, and you had the portrait events with Scarlett.)
– Darude now appears in front of the castle in Aldlyn after you repaired the abandoned barracks where you meet Mira. If the vanguard system is unlocked, he’ll tell you about his new trade system, else he’ll ask for help with bandits and Trey will make a remark that you should go to the barracks to talk with Jessy. This change ensures that you can advance the main story without confusion, and also get an additional reminder to go to the barracks after repairing them.
– Fixed a bug that only the turn end button on the country overview map reduced the cooldown of Darudes trades, but not the turn end button on the special management screen where you pick delegates and other things.
– Fixed a bug which caused you to lose vanguard equipment components after the vanguard battle of the trade routes instead of gaining them.
– The quest “Clinic Request” now appears on the Aldlyn city board after you repaired the abandoned barracks on the country overview map. This ensures that people know about the country management map and can enter it before getting the quest to construct something on it.
– Fixed a bug with Ziki’s wedding event which didn’t properly turn off after the first time watching it.
– Scarlett received her full body CG image! The image was added for her skilltree, face images, is shown when you talk with her in her house in Aldlyn, and can be seen in the CG room after you had the events about getting a portrait for Ryen from Scarlett.
– The Poison and Burning status effects are now removed from the party when you enter a vanguard battle.

Update 25.06.11 changes:
– A new event and CG scene with Jackie was added. To trigger the story, you need to talk with Jackie or Lexi in the monsterhall at least once after the update. When Ryen’s happiness value is at 5+ (which means at least 5 girls are pregnant) when you re-enter the monsterhall, a !-icon appears over Jackie and shows the start of a new quest.
– I added a book icon on the timeskip map right of the “Children” act icon. You can use this icon to access a work-in-progress for an extended worldmap. The map itself has no events or accessible areas, but shows what the world beyond the known worldmap looks like. It also shows the location of some known locations, like Fürstenstein, Mira’s temple island, and The Forgotten Brexeet Isles.

– The system for Darudes trading routes was upgraded. The trading now takes place on the country overview map.
– The caravan travels with multiple possible routes, where you can pick up more loot by defeating bandits with your party or vanguards. Overall, the trades are now more interactive instead of just waiting for them to return with resources.
– The trades to Diminus Castle and Tajurata Fort require you to finish some events first before the trade route is available. The events start with sparkling icons on the country overview map.
– The events for the trade route to Diminus Castle unlocks the CG scene of a new character.

– The storage screen for the vanguard forces was upgraded. It now shows all equipments and items at once.
– The new screen also allows for equipments to get exchanged for components, and the components can be trades for other equipment pieces or sold for Budget. This way you can make use of unwanted equipment.
– The new trades with Darude give you a bunch of components for vanguard equipment as well.

– The “Absolutely Unique Book” to increase the level of characters now works for Lady Akira, Citrinne, Kurohime, and Scarlett after they join your party in the time skip phase.
– A Fast Travel option was added for the church in Aldlyn.
– “Bunny Ears+” was changed to “Fancy Bunny Ears+” and now requires the new item “Fancy Bunny Ears” to craft them. The new fancy bunny ears can be found in chests in the castle of Aldlyn, in the room of Lady Miles in the noble families living quarters, and in the new Thremten map in Flaire’s new house in the time skip phase.
– Fixed an issue with the swap skill. When escape was pressed during the choice, it swapped the active character with Scarlett.

Update 25.05.07 changes:
– After the CG scene with Ziki in Pumumu a new quest will appear in Calterburry in front of the castle. At the end of this quest you unlock Ziki as a marriage candidate on the special marriage screen in the church of Aldlyn.
– The old images of Ziki’s full body and CG scene were replaced by new CG images.
– All old face images of the main party members were replaced by CG versions.
– After recruiting Lady Akira, Citrinne, and Kurohime for your party, you can go back to Thremten in the time skip phase for a new event with the thief who stands to the right side of Flaire’s new house. He has a !-icon above his head to show that he has a new event for you.

– The CG room pages were re-organised, and sorted into new groups to make browsing through them easier.
– Characters that weren’t in the CG room even though they had full body CGs but no scenes yet were now added.
– When you select “CG” or “Scene” for a character in the CG room, the choices now have icons that show if the scenes are locked, partly unlocked, or fully unlocked.
– Shey’s face in the CG room now changes when her body changes during Ryoko’s events.

Update 25.04.08 :
– A sparkling note left of Ryen’s bedroom triggers a lengthy scene. It appears when you use the fast travel system after you have Trey-f’s wedding, Kayelinth in your party, the first encounter with Hellhound, the first meeting with Scarlett, and Grey-f as part of the female adventurer group.
– New event with Scarlett in act 2 of the time skip events. The trigger is a heart-shaped icon at the right side of Aldlyn. The event requires the scenes of Scarlett and f-Grey to be done.
– After the first dialog and CG scene with Scarlett, she can be recruited for your party in the new Thremten map of the time skip phase. She can be used everywhere in the time skip phase afterwards, but is removed from the party when you leave the time skip phase to go back to the “old” content. (And re-added to the party when you enter the time skip phase again later.)
– A follow-up event can be triggered in act 2 with an icon that appears at Old Ashton in Begus. It requires the initial events with Citrinne, and the events with training Jiliesh from Millwater. The event will unlock three more new party members, which can be used during the time skip events. Same as Scarlett, they’ll disappear when you leave the time skip phase, and re-enter the group when you come back.
During the new events with Scarlett in the time skip phase, you encounter the criminal Pheloya. She won’t get a CG scene or any big events, but in this poll you get to decide what her future shall be: https://strawpoll.com/6QnMQD0M7ne
– The entry to the skilltree menu was added to the in-game menu again. The icon on the fast travel screen didn’t turn out to be very practical in the end, as there are too many situations where that screen is disabled. So, same as with the CG room, I put the option to enter the screen back into the menu, where it used to be.
– The skilltree screens were changed. You can now access all skilltrees from each page. So the pages of all side-characters are now accessible from the screens of the main party members.
– Since the CG room and skilltree use the old system with 12 party members and Ryen fix in party slot 1, Ryen is automatically moved to party slot 1 and locked when you enter those screens. When you use the exit button, the actor who was in slot 1 before entering the screens will get moved to that position again.
– The system changes made it possible to unlock Ryen as a fix party member in slot 1 for the time skip area. Which means more flexibility for party formations. However, he’ll still remain fix in the “old” content, as his position in slot 1 is used in dozens of events, and can’t quickly nor easily be changed anymore.
– The swap skill was updated to include the new party members.
The decision to make Ryen locked as party member 1 was done about 10 years ago, and is used in many places as a certain factor. In hindsight, there could’ve been better ways to do things, which would’ve allowed me to make a change earlier or easier. But I think that the time skip phase is a good place to start making the change, to allow the new content to be enjoyed without this restraint anymore.
– A few more additional party members for the time skip phase, like Lace and Hellhound, are planned for later.
– A small system change was made to fix the message about a “newer nw.js” file.

v25.03.03
– Added the marriage events with Selka. It starts in the barracks of the vanguard leaders when you have Selka’s CG scene, the marriage system unlocked, and all involved party members (Mira, Mirel, Chiyo, Elly, Kayelinth) in your party.
– There is a new icon on the time skip map near Thremten, which allows you to enter a big map of Thremten and the surrounding area. The map was created as a test for an old area getting updated with changes that occured as result of the time skip. For example, new buildings got added to the town of Thremten. In this case, the big map also connects the town directly with nearby worldmap buildings, like the church and lumberjack. The new area has almost no content yet, but will get more events in the future.
– While the big map for an entire area was interesting to make, I feel like the small maps per area or building still works better for the majority of the game, and such big maps should only be rare additions. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this.
– Enemies in the dangerous forest east of the new Thremten area are stronger than before the time skip, and the normal hornets were replaced with hornet monstergirls.
– A special hornet on the hill on the right side of the dangerous forest has some short dialogs, which lead to a CG scene with her.

– A performance system in the background, which was updated a while ago, was reset to the old version. This was done to check if the issues of some players are related to this change. Please let me know if any new issues appear, or if old problems are fixed now. Thanks.
– Fixed a bug which caused Wendy’s character to be added improperly when the new dungeon with her was entered in some save files.
– Fixed a bug which caused the academy training on the country management screen to get stuck on the message that it’ll become available again next turn.
– The turn end button in the country overview map now starts with 1 as the default amount of turns to be skipped in the choice given, instead of using the amount of logistic points you have to give you the max amount possible as default number.

Update 25.02.12
– New event with Wendy when you talk with her in the barracks of the vanguard forces, after you advanced the events of F.Grey to the point where she decides to stay as a woman.
– In a new area during Wendy’s events, the monstergirls “Gazer of Darkness” can be encountered and captured with Soul Lanterns. They can be released and befriended at the graveyard for a CG scene.
– The CG scene with Crowny 7 unlocks after you had the CG scene with a Gazer of Darkness at the graveyard. (You can return to Crowny in the temple of Idos by entering the cave below the barracks of the vanguards on the worldmap.)

– Wendy’s old CGs for her scene were remade with the new artstyle.
– All face images of Wendy were replaced with their CG image version.
– Remake of Kippy’s full body and CG scene images.

Update 24.01.18

– New scene with Zaleria. Requires her scene with Ashryn, and Ashryn’s solo CG scene. The event starts when you talk with Zaleria first, and then talk with Ashryn when she has a yellow ! above her head when you get close to her.
– The entrance for the 2023 Christmas dungeon was moved from Ryen’s bed to the present icon in the bottom right corner of the main party CG room page, where you can also replay other old Christmas events.
– A green book icon was added above Aldlyn in the alpha test version for the war system. It allows you to replay unlocked story events of the war.
– Fixed a bug with the replay of Vampire’s beach bikini scene.
– Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Knocky’s dialog to not complete the quest step during the “Orchel Trading Route” quest.
– Fixed a bug that caused Thaola’s dialog to not complete the quest step during the “About Racism” quest.

Update 23.12.17

When you go to sleep in your bed in the castle, a message will appear and ask you if you want to enter the 2023 Christmas special dream area. The area shows some dream events of the 12 party members, which give them permanent buffs, and you get tokens for the Christmas slot machine.
Be warned. Since the area shows dreams, not everything in it might make sense.
When you leave the area after finishing all 12 events, you’ll receive a Riddle Key as bonus reward.

A new event starts when you talk with Lind in the meeting room on the right side of the sleeping chambers in the castle of Aldlyn. It requires her previous CG scenes, and that the marriage system is unlocked to the point where you can pick a wife. It prepares her future wedding by advancing her relationship with Ryen, but the wedding itself isn’t part of this update.

In the test version for the war system (which you access via the sparkling book in Ryen’s bedroom), you can now fight the battles for Norhall Stronghold, Whitestone Citadel, and Calterburry, after capturing Meddling Castle and defending Parverhill. Calterburry has 2 battles when you fight with the vanguards, or an automatic sequence that plays when you let the army fight for you. After the battle of Calterburry, you get a story sequence, which is the current end of the war system. In a future update, the battles against Amagal will become available after this event.
On turn 8 of the war test system, and when you make the right choice during the automatic battle at Whitestone Citadel, you get a permanent buff to the strength of your regular army for automatic battles.

I added remakes of full body CGs for: Alcena, Lace, and Lind.
Mira’s full body CG in different art styles was changed to the same art style as her newer images.

The title screen music was changed for the Christmas time.

General information:
– You can continue to play your old progress by copying the old save folder into the folder of the new game version.
– Saveslot 19 and 20 are used for auto-saves. Don’t save your own progress there if you don’t want it to get overwritten with auto-saves or toggle off auto-saves in the main menu.
– You can find a “update files only” zip in the download folder, which contains only the changed/added files since the last version 24.10.16. If you already have the previous version you can download these files by themselves instead of downloading the entire game again. These files are not necessary when you download the entire new game version “Renryuu Ascension Testversion 06.11.16”.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me by writing a good summary/description of the game. I would use this to replace my outdated game description at the places the game has been posted.

Characters
Ryen:
The main protagonist. He is a dragonic, half dragon-half human, who is definitely better with the sword than with words. He can be cruel and cold-blooded at times but he usually doesn’t enjoy murdering. He is simply so used to killing that he has no hesitation about it and it invokes no emotions anymore.
After his troublesome and bloody past he went to a military academy. He was hoping to change himself and find his peace of mind there.

Tsubaki:
A cheerful girl but none the less dangerous. She trained swordsmanship for most of her life, as it is tradition in her family. When Ryen joined the military academy and soon became it’s strongest, she started to hang around and train with him a lot in hope to learn from him. Since killing is no problem to her, she was fine with Ryens sometimes problematic attitude.

Trey:
The head of the royal guards. Trey is a brave and honest person, who has fought many battles for his beloved country already. It is his duty to protect Ryen as the new King.

Mira:
The angel Mira is really weak, but even if she can’t fight very good, her healing ability is still a valuable addition to every party. She is always cheerful and loves to help people, but there seems to be quite a big shadow hidden behind that smile.

Vampire:
The mysterious vampire is the tsundere of the group. She often gets angry when someone treats her like a child, but at the same time she secretly loves to be spoiled. Ryen finds her sealed away in a dungeon by chance, but it seems as if the two of them are somehow connected.

Mirel:
As most elves, Mirel is very skilled in handeling her bow. After her parents died she was raised by their towns chief. During her life, she had to endure hardships as a result from being an elf several times, so she wants to help in the fight against this racism.

Sandra:
A fugitive from another country, or atleast that what she claims to be. Her ability to pick locks and other skills leave some doubts to her honesty, but they often come in handy. It’s easy to tell from those abilitys that she used to live in the streets and managed to survive through them.

Brad:
A former slave that ran away from his owner. Having lost everything he ever had, he sure knows the true value of the word freedom and the price for it. Because he had to fight for the amusment of his owner, Brad is now a fairly good brawler.

Chiyo:
A young mage, who is still weak and ignorant to the world, but she has a big talent and improves fast. Her abilitys are mostly magic spells of different elements. She used to live a peaceful life in Amagal, until the Earl gained more power and suddenly things went for worse in the country.

Elly:
One of the very few gunslingers left in the world. Because her fighting style costs a lot of money, she works as a high prized mercenary. Usually she is a very calm and collected person but sometimes drinks a bit too much.

Ryoko:
A demon girl who has been a slave every since she has been a child. Because of that, she has a hard time making decisions on her own and has a constant urge to recieve orders from her master.

Kayelinth:
A young dragonic girl, who is still completely ignorant to the world.
